A calm, confidential space to explore what matters to you
Sorcha Williams MBACP, MNCPS (Acc.)
Hello, I’m Sorcha
I am an NCPS accredited and BACP registered humanistic psychotherapist offering online and telephone therapy for adults. I offer a calm, confidential space where you can bring whatever is happening in your life and explore it at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is person-centred, relational and grounded in humanistic values. In our sessions, this means we focus closely on what is happening for you in the present moment, including your thoughts, feelings and bodily awareness, and how these experiences connect with your life and relationships outside of therapy.
I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to offer quick solutions or tell you what to do, but to work alongside you as we explore what matters to you. Therapy can be a space to reconnect with yourself and find new ways of understanding what you are living through.
I work collaboratively and responsively, following what feels most important to you as it unfolds rather than working to a fixed agenda. This allows space for your experience to be explored in a way that feels natural and meaningful, rather than directed or structured in advance. Over time, this process can support awareness to deepen, new understanding to emerge, and change to become possible.
I am interested in your experience as a whole – your thoughts, feelings and bodily awareness, your relationships, and the meaning things hold for you. My work is informed by present-moment awareness and relational exploration, including attention to patterns of relating, the connection between mind and body, and what may emerge within the therapeutic relationship itself.
Where it feels helpful, I may also draw on creative approaches and gestalt therapy to support reflection and expression, always in a way that feels responsive to you.
I aim to offer a thoughtful, receptive space where whatever arises can be explored with sensitivity and care. There is room here for vulnerability, uncertainty, and for things to unfold in their own time.
People come to therapy for many reasons – perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, carrying painful experiences from the past, or questioning your sense of self. Together, we can explore these experiences in a way that supports deeper understanding and connection.
I value therapy as a space where people can feel met more fully and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.
I currently offer online and telephone therapy for adults. If you are looking for a supportive, relational space to explore what matters to you, I welcome you to get in touch.
About Psychotherapy and Counselling
What is Counselling?
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, difficult relationships, grief, stress, or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right.
Counselling offers a confidential, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.
Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, make sense of what you’re going through, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
While counselling cannot remove life’s challenges, it can help you find new perspectives, build resilience, and make choices that feel right for you.
Counselling can help with
- Anxiety and stress
- Depression and low mood
- Bereavement and loss
- Relationship difficulties
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Life transitions and change
- Trauma and difficult past experiences
- Work-related stress and burnout
- Identity and personal growth
- Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain
If what you’re experiencing isn’t listed here, you’re welcome to get in touch to discuss whether I may be able to help.
